Traditional digital signature technology is a convenient way to formalize concurrence for pro forma agreements. However, its very modest proof of identity & acceptance capabilities fall short in use cases where fraud or repudiation are serious risks.
Ver-ID Documents allows any document to be executed with a strong biometric signature using accepted cryptographic techniques. This creates an identity-assured, non-tampered and non-repudiable acceptance of any agreement.
STEP 1:
Scan and upload a paper agreement, review the Terms of Service, upload attestation media, etc. All within your existing workflow.
STEP 2:
Open a Ver-ID powered smartphone app. Where applicable, connect PC-based workflow to smartphone with QR code or text link.
STEP 3:
A live selfie photo is compared to an identity-verified profile created with Ver-ID Credentials, established previously or integrated for single use. Other device-available information can be captured as desired (e.g., GPS)
STEP 4:
The original document is packaged together with a signature page into a hashed, encrypted, and watermarked file. The signer's photo and/or image of identity documents can be optionally visible on signature page or restorable with a process-owner’s private key.
Traditional digital signatures are inference based. A face-based biometric signature provides irrefutable proof of identity and acceptance.
Relies only upon availability of a smartphone. Enables a simple & intuitive consumer experience, appropriate for any use case.
Enables any digital or paper-based workflow where a distinct file exists or is added. Integrates easily into legacy processes.
